Insurance Survey

A Boat Insurance Survey is required when an insurance company requests a survey from an owner prior to accepting a particular yacht for insurance. Our reports are accepted by all of the marine insurance underwriters.

The Insurance Survey covers the structural integrity and general safety of the vessel.
The scope of work is typically the same as for the full pre-purchase yacht survey, though the report will contain less detail.

The Insurance Survey can also be of great use to the client as it will highlight defects and degradation that would otherwise remain unknown. One example of a hidden defect found in some boats can be seen by clicking on this article: Defective gas locker drain

Fieldhouse Yacht Surveys will discuss the client's requirements prior to agreeing to perform the marine survey in order to fully understand any concerns that the customer might have.
